Johnsson & West Architecture is a boutique residential architecture studio founded by Jeronimo Johnsson and Simon West. Together, they combine international architectural experience, technical expertise, and a shared commitment to thoughtful design to create exceptional custom homes and luxury renovations throughout Ontario. The spaces we inhabit shape how we feel, how we connect, and how we experience everyday life. That belief has guided my work since the very beginning of my career and continues to inspire every home we design.
After earning my Bachelor of Architecture and Urban Planning in Brazil, I have spent more than 15 years designing residential and commercial projects across Brazil, Canada, and other international markets. Working across different cultures and environments has taught me that great architecture is never about following trends—it is about understanding people, their lifestyle, and the unique character of every place.
At Johnsson & West, I lead the creative vision of each project, guiding clients from the earliest ideas through design development and architectural visualization. My approach is rooted in contemporary architecture, biophilic design, and the belief that light, proportion, materials, and nature should work together to create spaces that feel effortless, timeless, and deeply connected to the people who live in them.
I believe the most successful homes are those that quietly enrich everyday life. Spaces where families gather naturally, where daylight transforms a room throughout the seasons, and where every detail has purpose. Beautiful architecture should never exist simply to be admired, it should improve the way we live.
For me, designing a home is never just about creating a building. It's about creating a place where memories are made, families grow, and life unfolds for decades to come.

With decades of experience in residential architecture and construction documentation, Simon brings a meticulous approach to every project. His expertise in the Ontario Building Code, municipal approvals, and technical coordination ensures that each design is thoughtfully developed, carefully documented, and prepared for construction with confidence.
As Co-Founder of Johnsson & West Architecture, Simon works closely with clients, consultants, and municipalities throughout the design process, helping transform ambitious architectural concepts into practical, buildable solutions without compromising design quality.
Simon believes that exceptional homes are created when creativity is supported by technical excellence. His attention to detail, collaborative approach, and commitment to quality help ensure every project progresses smoothly from concept to completion.
